Ariel Mermaid Birthday Cake

Another request for an Ariel mermaid cake! This time the topper was provided by the birthday girl's mom. The base layer is 10" and the top layer is 6". All buttercream icing, with chocolate filling.

Jungle Baby Shower

I made this Baby Shower cake based on the Zanzibar bedding theme (see pic below!) with all the jungle animals. The top had the elephant, and the side had giraffes, turtles and crocodiles.

It is an 8" round cake with all buttercream frosting.

Cornelli Lace Birthday Cake

I've been wanting to try the cornelli lace technique on a colored background with white lace. I finally had the opportunity when my cousin came to town for her 20th birthday and I decided to make her a cake! The cake is yellow almond butter and the frosting is vanilla almond buttercream. It is a triple-layer cake - one layer of Nutella filling and one layer of chocolate pudding filling. Yum!
